RDV: Stigmatized & excluded: Child maltreatment registries in the United States and their collateral consequences for low-income women and women of color (Colleen Henry)

9. March 2023 @ 14:15 - 15:30

Colleen Henry is an Associate Professor at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, City University of New Work. Henry holds a PhD in Social Welfare, after completing her dissertation in 2014 on Constructing maltreatment: An urban child welfare agency’s response to child exposure to domestic violence. Among other areas, she researched child maltreatment registries in the US and how they have strayed from the original intention of family protection, with some marginalized groups of the population being overrepresented in the child protection system. https://sssw.hunter.cuny.edu/staff-members/henry-colleen-m-s-w-ph-d/
