Dr. Tobba Sudmann is a professor at at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences/Center for Care Research West, at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences in Bergen, Norway. Tobba earned her doctoral degree from the University of Bergen, focusing on the topic “(En)gendering body politics: Physiotherapy as a lens on health and illness.”

Her research explores the dynamics of patient empowerment, emphasizing individual initiative, resource utilization, and involvement in health-related decision-making. Sudmann’s expertise spans across sociology, physiotherapy, and e-health.
