VIDEO: The government has set up the Public Expert Committee, which will assess measures to strengthen legal safeguards in all stages of the child welfare service’s work, from the investigation phase to the after-care phase. Marit Skivenes is the head of the committee and will present key challenges in Norwegian child welfare that the committee is working with in this lecture.

Rettsikkerhet for barn i barnevernet
Regjeringen har nedsatt Barnevernsutvalget som skal vurdere tiltak for å styrke rettssikkerheten i alle ledd av barnevernets arbeid, fra undersøkelsesfasen til ettervernsfasen. Marit Skivenes er leder for utvalget og vil i dette foredraget presentere sentrale utfordringer i norsk barnevern som utvalget arbeider med.
Marit Skivenes er professor i statsvitenskap ved Universitetet i Bergen og senterleder ved Centre for Research on Discretion and Paternalism. Hun er anerkjent som ledende innen internasjonal barnevernsforskning.
